Well, well, well

Remember me? I haven’t blogged in so long! I’ve been so busy with wedding stuff that stresses me out here and there that I just couldn’t focus on losing weight. I realize I won’t be the weight I hoped for for my wedding and I’ve accepted it. Yesterday I had my bridal portrait taken in my wedding dress for the local newspaper. It went pretty well overall although when the photographer had me sit down for some shots I kind of panicked. I legit cannot sit comfortably in my dress! It fits but it takes a little bit to zipper up. I obviously need to sit for some of the reception so it’s really important to me to try and get 5-10lbs off by then. I think that would make the world of a difference and I know I can do it. No more starting on Mondays or after my shower or after Easter. Today I will stay within my calories. End. Of. Story. :D

My first attempt at homemade cannolis. I made a small batch to try them out. Overall they look cute but I don’t think I rolled the dough thin enough so they could develop the classic bubbles. I was debating making these for my bridal shower in 2 weeks. I’m still on the fence though. If I have time I may attempt the shells again, the inside is pretty tasty :)

I kid you not these are the myriad of magazines I subscribe to that I haven’t read in the last 6+ months!! I grabbed them from all the areas I’ve been stashing them and eeek. I stopped reading when I was studying for boards in the fall and then I got into reading legit books. I definitely need to do something about these!

Happy March!

I can’t even believe it’s March already! That means our wedding is only 2 months ago ohhh myyyy goddd. I am super excited. My weight on the scale is no where near exciting. I did well for a few weeks and then slacked off majorly. I have not gained all the weight back I lost but about 4lbs. These next 2 weeks I am going to try to be better since my first wedding gown fitting is on the 15th. I am not going to stress out if I don’t lose but I am going to try to make better choices and more around more. Tomorrow is a “snow day” for me since we are expecting a big storm. We moved all our patients around so a long weekend it is for me :) I’m hoping it snows a lot overnight so the boo can work from home and hang with me. Last time I had a snow day he was out of town with work which was so boring. Tomorrow I have a full apartment clean planned so I’ll be moving around with all that for sure. Life is good :D

I watched her make them on tv last week and knew I had to make them this week. Oh and they are super filing so I’m saving 4 for tomorrow!! Sooo delicious, I will definitely be making these again :D

Tomorrow will be better

I jumped off the band wagon again of course. I hate always admitting this but such is life. I wish I could just commit and keep up the willpower. Today I ate terrible but I did a little ice skating with an awesome friend so that was better than my usual couch laying. Tomorrow I have to skip breakfast since I have blood being drawn at 10am. Thankfully I can eat lunch this time. My goal tomorrow is simple — stay within my calories. I will do this. Off to bed, sleep well tumblrs!
